Audu/Faleke political family collapse ADC structure, returns to APC in Kogi West.
The structure of the late ex-Governor of Kogi state, Abubakar Audu and his running mate, James Faleke under the acronym Audu/Faleke political family in African Democratic Congress, ADC has returned to the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC .
The defectors numbering over two thousand was led to APC fold on Sunday in Kabba, the political headquarters of Kogi West Senatorial District by Chief Benjamin Olowodola.
Olowodola told the gathering that the defectors were originally members of APC but only went on sabbatical sojourn in ADC and have now seen the light and have decided to return home.
He said that it is not unusual for members to disagree on principle but the disagreement have been resolved which informed the decision to return.
Receiving the defectors to APC, the Speaker Kogi State House of Assembly, Mathew Kolawole said that there is no new comer in APC as every member is equal under one house.
He called on those yet to make up their mind to hurry up and join the train of APC.
According to him, it is now evidently clear that APC is firmly rooted in Kogi West while PDP was “dead and buried in the state”.
He described the incumbent (Governor Yahaya Bello seeking second term as deserving the support of Kogi West in view of how he has carried the zone along in his administration.
Kolawole said that the support of the zone was also necessary to give hope to rotational idea which they have been working to achieve for some time.
“Let us support the present administration of GYB, who knows, it might be our turn 2023” he added.
