We learnt our mistakes against Ajax – Osimhen

Victor Osimhen has admitted that Lille’s 3-0 defeat to Ajax on Match Day 1 of the UEFA Champions League was a learning curve for the Ligue 1 club. Quincy Promes, Edson Alvarez and Nicolas Tagliafico condemned the French club to their heaviest defeat this season. The Nigeria international, who fired blanks on his debut, however, urged his teammates to move on from the disappointment.

“Lessons learned, we move on,” Osimhen wrote on his Instagram post.

The 20-year-old striker has scored five goals in five league games for Lille this season.

He is expected to make his sixth league appearance for the Los Dogues when they travel to face Rennes on Sunday.
