IGBO MUST PLAY THE REAL POLITICS OR WE CONTINUE PLAY SECOND FIDDLE IN NIGERIA.

Former Governor of Anambra State Chief Chukwuemeka Ezeife has been known in recent times for making provocative and volatile political statements that is capable of creating divisions in Nigeria if he is not called to order. Ezeife has been a strong supporter and a prominent member of PDP and since his party lost elections in 2015 Ezeife has thrown decency to the winds, making provocative pronouncements that is likely to cause a breach of peace and disharmony among Nigerians. It borders on blackmail and this is unacceptable. If I wanted to be strict I will say that this is totally unbecoming of anybody that has been privileged to be the governor one of the most successful states in Nigeria.

I was in Lagos from 1971 to 1974. I returned to secondary school in 1974 and left UNN in 1985. From 1985 till date and I have seen it all here in Lagos. I watched and studied Lagos politics for years. I have been a participant and a big player in matters of Lagos politics and I have learnt a lot . I served as Publicity Secretary Of AC, ACN, and APC from 2006 to 2019. I became the pioneer Chairman Of Conference Of APC Publicity Secretaries across Nigeria from 2014 to 2015. I was the General LASIMRA from 2005 to 2105. Chairman of Wharf Landing Fees Collecting Authority from 2015 to 2019 and the SA to Governor Sanwo Olu on Drainage & Water Resources.
In all these years in Lagos I have seen and observed our leader, ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU breaking his back and building political bridges across Nigeria, raising men and women including this writer to the point of Public recognition. It is unbelievable how he did it but Iam a living witness to this great and huge history. When former President OBASANJO’s PDP stole Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ekiti, Ondo in 2003, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu went back to the drawing board and fought back and reclaimed these State without blackmail, confrontation or threat of cessation. President BUHARI contested for Presidency in 2003, 2007, 2011 and did not win until ASIWAJU BAT stepped in with the South West completely in 2015 and PMB won. Now do you know what ASIWAJU did to achieve this. Not a day’s job sir. A 500 page Book will not be enough to tell the huge story. He repeated the feat in 2019 seamlessly. He was building bridges for years and was not burning bridges like our own Ezeife. ASIWAJU does the real work without noise. He has built formidable millions of followers across Nigeria and Ezeife stays in Igboukwu drinking palm wine and eating pounded yam with nsala soup. You cannot eat your cake and still have it. No gains without pains . You cannot make an omelette without eggs.

Today the likes of Ezeife and his co travelers are busy in their little corners preaching hate and political divisions while Asiwaju is shaking tables in every nook and crannies of Nigeria, recruiting millions of followers. In fact ASIWAJU has 10 million canvassers across as I write this and unless miracles happens even though I know that miracles do not happen in politics ASIWAJU is running away with victory in 2023. After the 2109 elections ASIWAJU BAT has shifted his base to the seat of power in Abuja building bridges, working himself to bones and taking the heat. Politics is a serious business.

Igbo must play the real politics in Nigeria or we all die. Professor Laski of the London school of Economics teaches that politics is superior to Economics. Before the Second World War the Jews were the most prosperous in Germany.They were intelligent and owned most of the industries . They were more in academics and were among the wealthiest class. Unfortunately they neglected political power. It took one madman Adolf Hitler who recognized the essence and use of power both negative and positive to send most of them to their untimely graves in spite of their wealth, industry and intelligence.

Okwadike Igboukwu pleasecome out of your comfort zone and go and build bridges. Stop shouting from Igboukwu. Politics is a game of numbers. Power is not served ala carte. Stop burning bridges Chief Ezeife, go and build bridges. Enough of this Childish talk. We must stop making mockery of ourselves in Nigeria. Politics is a serious business. Politics is too important to be left to mediocres.
