The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, has said the Federal Government would continue to protect the property and lives of Nigerians by giving attention to community policing.
He added that it was one of the major cardinal objectives the regime of the President, Major General Mohammadu Buhari (retd).
The SGF spoke while receiving in his office a member of the House of Representatives, Alhassan Doguwa, who was just re-elected.
Mustapha said the executive arm of government would continue to collaborate with the legislative arm to ensure that appropriate laws were signed to improve on the protection of the lives and property of Nigerians.
He said part of the strategies to combat crime in the country was ensuring that the government focused on giving attention to community policing because of its benefits, particularly, in the involvement of all segments of the society.
