Prophet Alfa Babatunde, founder of the Sotitobire Miracle centre was today sent back to the Olokuta Correctional centre till Thursday for continuation of his case.
He was arraigned before Justice Olusegun Odusola who refused to grant his bail application sought by the defence counsel, Mr. Olusola Oke.
The prosecuting team from the state ministry of justice led by the Attorney-General, Mr. Kola Olawoye esq. presented two witnesses, including the mother of the missing child, out of the seven prosecution witnesses.
After much argument, the case was adjourned till Thursday 19th March 2020 for continuation of hearing, while the accused persons were returned to the prison custody.
It would be recalled that the case was transferred to the High Court from the Magistrate court at the last court sitting where the defendants were arraigned afresh.
Alfa Babatunde was arraigned along six others namely; Peter Anjorin, Omodara Olayinka, Margaret Oyebola, Grace Ogunjobi, Egunjobi Motunrayo, Esther Kayode. They were arraigned on three count charge of aiding and abetting the kidnapping of 13-month-old boy, Gold Eninlaloluwa Kolawole who disappeared in the children department of the church.
Counsel to Prophet Alfa Babatunde, Olusola Oke made application for bail at the last sitting, but the trial judge, Justice A.O Odusola refused the application.
