A 27-year-old suspected kidnapper, Saidu Iliya, of Gada Yeregi village in the Lavun Local Government Area of Niger State, has narrated how he had sex with one of his victims, a middle-aged woman.
Iliya had abducted the woman and had sexual intercourse with her while waiting for ransom to be paid by her husband.
Luck, however, ran out on him when he was apprehended by a joint team of policemen and vigilantes at Vunu village.
When asked if he used any protection during sexual intercourse with the victim, the suspect said, “I did not use any protection while making love to her.”
It was learnt that on March 5, 2020, one Mohammed Sani of the Vunu Fulani Camp Settlement in Lavun reported that some armed men attacked his house and kidnapped his wife.
Northern City News gathered that the kidnappers demanded N10m ransom but later settled for N600,000 after negotiations.
It was also gathered that Iliya was apprehended on March 8, while attempting to collect the ransom.
Iliya stated, “Since the two of us were in a hidden place, our body mechanism began to change and we had sex; probably she didn’t want to do anything that would provoke me to kill her and she obliged me at that point.
“l did not force her to have sex with me; she voluntarily gave me sex, while I was waiting to collect the ransom.”
The command’s Public Relations Officer, Wasiu Abiodun, said the suspect confessed to the crime.
He explained that the operatives rescued the victim unhurt and also recovered a locally-made gun, adding that the suspect would be arraigned after investigation.
