THERE was a mild drama Sunday morning at one of the mega churches in Egbeda, Lagos, Christ Apostolic Church, Power of God Saves, as security operatives stormed the church this morning at 8;00am to enforce the directive of the state government.
The church service started as early as 6:00am with hundreds of church members thronged the church premesis.
An eye witness, a member of the church, who craved anonymity said around 8:00am, we saw security operatives stormed the church premises in the midst of the church programme, stopped the service abruptly and ordered that everyone should go out in obedience to the Lagos State directive on social and religious gathering which should not be more than 50 persons.
She said that the Resident Pastor of the church, Pastor Amure was arrested and later released on bail.
The General Overseer of the church, Pastor Moses Olagunju, later met with the mammoth crowd who were standing at the gate having been shut out of the church, he prayed for them and told them to go home.
