As the world gradually tries to find a way around the lockdowns brought about by the Coronavirus by reopening, the entertainment scene is not left.
So producers of the award-winning sci-fi flick AVATAR 2 are all set to resume full production in New Zealand.
Producer Jon Landau shared a brand new shot of the set on his Instagram.
James Cameron, the brains behind the Avatar project says the COVID-19 pandemic no doubt affected production.
“It’s putting a major crimp in our stride here,” he told Empire.
“I want to get back to work on Avatar, which right now we’re not allowed to do under state emergency laws or rules. So it’s all on hold right now.”
He also said that he was optimistic due to the way New Zealand has handled the virus, which has proven to be yet another trustworthy James Cameron instinct.
The first AVATAR film produced in 2009 was a roaring success.
