The Caretaker Committee Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Rivers State, Igo Aguma, has boasted that the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) will be pleased with the chapter’s choice of Victor Giadom’s replacement.
Aguma confirmed that following the request of the NWC that the Rivers State chapter of the party should send a replacement for Giadom, who resigned his position as a Deputy National Secretary in 2018, the chapter immediately sent a letter containing a fresh nomination.
Aguma, however, refused to mention the name of Giadom’s replacement, saying it should be left for the NWC to unveil the identity of the person.
The Nation can authoritatively reveal the replacement is former Rivers Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Worgu Boms.
He said consultations were held by the chapter to settle on the nomination, adding a letter containing the person’s name was routed through an established channel of the party.
He said: “The party has approved our nomination and we believe that the NWC will ratify our nomination. The national APC will be impressed with the type of person we are sending”.
