Kayode Fayemi, governor of Ekiti state, has taken to social media to celebrate Bisi, his wife, in a beautiful way as she turns 57.
The governor took to his Twitter page on Thursday to pen a lovely message to his sweetheart, who is a feminist-activist, writer and policy advocate.
He described the first lady as his “biggest fan and greatest cheerleader,” who has always supported him through thick and thin.
Fayemi said this year’s edition of her birthday was another opportunity to show the world how much she means to him.
“Your birthday is always a time to reflect on our unique journey and an opportunity to turn my loud whispers to loud noises for the world to know how much you mean to me,” he wrote.
“You’re the angel of my life, my biggest fan and greatest cheerleader. You have been the shoulder on which I could lean, the arms in which I could feel safe. You’re the one that makes the sacrifice of service worth the effort.”
He went on to pray for his wife as she continues in her pursuit of service to humanity.
“My gratitude to you is constant immeasurable and my prayer is that as you grow in age, may the Lord continue to endow you with wisdom, knowledge and understanding in the service of humanity,” he added.
The couple tied the knot in 1989. The union has been blessed with a son.
