The newly appointed General Officer Commanding (GOC) 81 Division, Nigerian Army Major General G.A Umelo DSS, FCM, GCM, psc(+) fdc(+) MSc paid a courtesy visit on the Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Ahmed Iliyasu, psc+ today Wednesday 9th September, 2020, the visit which was in furtherance of the synergy and collaboration between Nigeria Army and the Nigeria Police in ensuring the security and protection of lives and property.

The GOC in retinue of officers was accorded General Salute by men of the Nigeria Police Zone Command Headquarters, Onikan Lagos, after which senior officers in the zone were introduced.The GOC stated reason for the courtesy visit; which is sustenance of the existing synergy and collaboration between the Forces while the AIG in his response; reiterate the commitment and readiness of the Zone to partner with the Nigeria Army in combating crime and criminality and ensuring security of life and property using the veritable tool of Community Policing Strategy of problem solving and to maintain a very good work relationship.
