Displaced women from various villages in Zamfara State say hunger and cold weather pose a major threat to them and their children at their place of refuge after bandits burnt their towns.
BBC Hausa reports that more than 500 people were displaced from their towns in Maru LGA of the state and camp at Mai Rairai town, Kebbi State.
The women, staying in IDP camps along with their children, said they don’t have food and their farms were burnt by the bandits.
Speaking to BBC Hausa yesterday, one of the women, name withheld, who fled from Dankofa with her 15 children said they were living in hunger at the IDP camp and their children are always crying.
