The All Progressives Congress (APC) has fixed June 26 for the conduct of its governorship primary election for Anambra.
Al-Mustapha Medaner, APC director of organisation, announced the date in a statement issued on Thursday.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had fixed November 6, 2021 for the governorship poll in Anambra.
According to the statement, Medaner said the governorship expression of interest form cost N2.5 million while the nomination form is N20 million.
But he said female and physically-challenged aspirants will only pay 50 percent of the prescribed fees for the position.
Medaner said the exercise will be done in accordance with the provisions of the 2010 Electoral Act as amended and the INEC guidelines.
He said the APC will start the sale of the forms at the party’s national secretariat from April 15 to June 8.
Medaner said the last day for submission of the completed forms and accompanying documents is be June 8, while the screening of aspirants will be on June 10.
According to him, the publication of claims and objections will be on June 12.
He added that screening appeals will be on June 15, while election appeal will take place on June 30.
