Kabo’s Islamic police, Hisbah have arrested eight Muslim women and three men for eating during Ramadan.

They were reportedly arrested at Tudun Murtala of Nassarawa and local government Sharada local government areas respectively of Kano where they were found eating.

The religious police acting Commandant General, Musa Kibiya said his men swung into action immediately he got information about the arrested

The girls however said they did not fast because they were seeing their period, a circumstance that disallows fasting.

Musa Kibiya promised to investigate their claim.
