The mob were said to have first set ablaze the security post before vandalising the building and looting properties in the premises. They then handed over the father of the suspect to the police.
Also, students of the Faculty of Arts in the University of Uyo held a procession in honour of the deceased. Wearing black, they urged Martha Udom Emmanuel, wife of the state governor, to ensure justice is served in the case.
