The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, has suspended his ongoing campaign rally and other political engagements through out weekend in a way to individually mourn Adedoyin Ayinde, wife to Lagos State Governor’s Chief of Staff, Tayo Ayinde, who died a week ago and left entire Lagos in shock.
As gathered, throughout the campaign suspension, Tinubu would pay both Ayinde’s family and parent of the deceased, Ojora Royal family, separate condolence visits to express his sadness on death of the mother of two.
It was gathered that Tinubu’s decision to cancel all engagements for the weekend was due to the closeness he shared with the deceased woman, who passed on at 36years old, and was often described as Tinubu’s daughter.
Also, it was due to the role the deceased lady’s husband played in his security team while serving as the Lagos State governor as well as the Ojora family, one of the most respected families in the state.
Aside from Tayo Ayinde and the Ojora family’s contribution to the development of Lagos, The Guild learnt that Tinubu described Adedoyin’s death as a rude shock considering that she had lofty ideas and aimed to pursue her dream.
Tinubu, as learnt, would also be paying a condolence visit to the family of a former lawmaker representing Mushin Constituency 02 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Olayiwola Olawale popularly called Omititi, who slumped and was pronounced dead by medical experts after attending the flag-off of his presidential campaign rally in Jos, Plateau State capital.
As gathered, the APC presidential standard bearer could also be paying a visit to children and supporters of another APC chieftain, late Juliana Awodogan, popularly called Iya Oniyan, who was pronounced dead at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) in Idi-Araba axis of the state.
