A corpse of a beheaded man has been found inside a well in Olokonla community, Warrah area of Ilorin West LGA of Kwara State.
It was gathered that the deceased was found with his head and one arm severed.
According to Daily Trust, sources said that the corpse was discovered in the morning of last week when students of Warah Community Senior Secondary School went to the well to get water.
A resident, Abdul, said, “We heard some noise in the night from the bush but nobody could come out because of the nature of the area.
“It was when the students who used to drink from the well got there that they saw the corpse dumped inside the well and raised the alarm.”
The community leader of the area, Alhaji Salman AbdulQadir, while speaking with our correspondent who visited the scene on Monday said, “The incident was another sad narrative in the community,” urging the government to site a police post in the area to improve security.
He said, “That place where the man was killed is a huge inherited fenced land with a cluster of cashew trees which makes it easy to perpetrate evil.”
The state police spokesman, Ajayi Okasanmi, when contacted said investigation was ongoing.
