The National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday declared Oyo Governor Seyi Makinde re-elected.
Makinde polled 563,756 votes to beat his closet rival Sen. Teslim Folarin of All Progressive Congress (APC) who scored 256,685 votes while candidate of Accord Adebayo Adelabu scored 38,357 votes.
Oyo Returning Officer, Prof. Adebayo Banire said:”That Makinde Oluseyi having satisfied requirement of the law, is declared winner of the poll.”
Makinde won in 31 out of the 33 local government areas while Folarin only won in Irepo and Ore-lope local governments.
