Afrobeats Superstar, Tiwa Savage has taken to social media with a post seeking to clarify the air regarding recent rumours about her kidnap.

There were viral reports in the early hours of Friday claiming the singer escaped a kidnap attempt allegedly masterminded by her domestic staff.

The Stamina Hitmaker, on Friday, April 14, 2023, confirmed reports of a major security breach at her Lagos residence, in a statement signed by her management, sighted on her Instagram story.

Tiwa, however, stated that suspects have been picked up for questioning at the Alagbo Police Station, Ikoyi.

She also used the opportunity to thank fans, colleagues among others who tried to check on her well-being.

The statement reads;

“Following recent reports online, we can confirm that on Thursday 13th April, 2023, that there was a major security breach at the recent of musician Tiwa Savage.

A number of suspects were caught and are currently being held under investigation at Alagbon Police Station, Ikoyi.

Ms Savage and family are all safe”
