The Management of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency (LNSA) and Lagos State Traffic Radio has vowed to expand their areas of collaboration towards attaining the Greater Lagos vision of Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.
This was disclosed during a courtesy visit by the Management of the Lagos State Traffic Radio to the Headquarters of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency at Bolade Oshodi.
While welcoming the Team to his Office, the General Manager of the LNSA, Prince Dr. Ifalade Oyekan fisn praised the Management of the Lagos State Traffic Radio for the good work done with the Radio Station and expressed delight over the visit which he said is another step in the right direction.
The General Manager of the Lagos State Traffic Radio, Mr. Tayo Akanle thanked the Management of the LNSA for the warm reception and commended the Management for the giant leaps attained in recent times.
Mr. Akanle said the purpose of the visit was to explore all areas of collaboration between the sister Agencies, especially in the deployment of real time Technology. “We want to be able to reduce the travel time of Lagosians through the transmission of real time traffic situations, especially where there are impediments and the best place to be at the moment for reference is obviously the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency for its pioneer work in the use of the Body Worn Camera.”
Prince Oyekan expressed delight at the visit while affirming the readiness of the LNSA to collaborate with any sister Agencies towards attaining the objective of a better, safer and more secured Lagos State. He said, “Lagosians from all walks of life enjoy Traffic Radio, especially the real-time reports of the Traffic situation across Lagos all through the day and our Agency will be glad to be part of this success story.”
“Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu is keen to have a Lagos where Lagosians can sleep with their two eyes closed, where people and goods commute from outside and within the State with ease; and that’s why this collaboration is important.”
The Lagos State Traffic Radio Team was conducted through the LNSA situation room where a practical demonstration of the Wi-fi enabled Camera was put on display.
It will be recalled that the LNSA had earlier trained some reporters of the Lagos State Traffic Radio in the deployment and Management of the Body Worn Camera as part of its collaboration drive with sister Agencies.
