Amidst excitement, some Lagos Island Chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Council Legislators and Residents flown in a charter flight to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja to attend the inauguration of the Honourable Member of the Federal House of Representatives, Lagos Island Constituency 1, Dr. Enitan Dolapo Badru.
The Deputy Chairman, Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Hon. Moshood Olanrewaju Mayegun led over Sixty(60) Constituents to the occasion.
After the Inauguration ceremony, the Guests were treated to a First-Class Reception at a Five-Star Hotel in Wuse Zone 2 District, FCT, Abuja. Constituents across the Political wards back home (in the Constituency) were also catered for.
Still in Celebration mood, the gathering sang Solidarity songs and Pray earnestly for Dr. Badru as he embarks on another four-year Legislative duty.
During an interview session with Citizen NewsNG and Radio Nigeria, Abuja Network, Dr. Badru reiterated his commitment to deliver more Dividends of Democracy to the residents through his Periodic Human Capital Development, Economic Empowerment and Community Development Programmes.
“I want to make my People economically independent and successful in their Trades and Businesses.To improve their Standard of Living and make them Happier”, Dr. Badru emphasised.
“Like in the past, I will sponsor People-centric bills and continue to move motions on the floor of the Federal House of Representatives”, He continued.
The 10th National Assembly was inaugurated on Tuesday 13th June, 2023 at the National Assembly Complex, FCT, Abuja.

Sen. Godswill Akpabio was elected as the President of the Senate while Dr. Tajudeen Abbas emerged the Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives.
