Prominent Nollywood maverick Femi Adebayo, in a blazing recent interview, unveiled tantalizing tidbits about the captivating incidents before, during, and after the production of his mind-blowing blockbuster flick, Jagun Jagun.
Teasing a potential sequel, the filmmaker drops breadcrumbs as the multi-billion naira movie, Jagun-Jagun, grabs the limelight, sparking lively discussions on various social media platforms in the wake of its recent grand premiere.
Nollywood actor turned filmmaker, Femi Adebayo, recently delved deeply into the myriad challenges and tremendous efforts he encountered and invested while crafting his viral and highly-discussed cinematic masterpiece, Jagun Jagun.
The movie star, in a recent interview with the hosts of ‘Your View’ on TVC that there’s a sequel in the works for the Jagun-Jagun, confirming the movie will have part 2.
According to him, the film was shot over a span of 45 days, with the movie’s backdrop and physical locations set in Oyo, Oyo State.
Adebayo revealed that the movie’s cast and crew embarked on an intensive three-month training regime prior to the onset of filming.
Recalling instances of mishaps and dramatic incidents that transpired during the shooting, he recounted how actor Lateef Adedimeji fractured his leg in the very first scene.
Overwhelmed with tears and despondency, Adebayo said Lateef feared he might be substituted after pouring his heart and soul into the project.
He explained further that the war school and all other buildings were built from scratch.
“Hakeem effect is the brain behind the appearance of the Character of AGEMO (the swiftness, the lighting, etc) though the idea was conceived by Femi Adebayo.
“The movie is a message to all Nigerian Youths – nobody is coming to save them if they fail to stand up for themselves like Gbotija and other students did against Ogundiji.
“The movie is well accepted by all. I have the idea of JAGUN JAGUN in place before I produced King of Thieves. I only produced King of Thieves first to test run the market,” Adebayo noted during the interview.
