The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has suspended its 2-Day Nationwide Protest, Citizen NewsNG reports.
The Labour Union had fixed Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 February respectively to protest against rising cost of living and economic hardship in the country.
In a communique issued at the National Executive Council meeting on Tuesday, the Labour Union stated that the objectives of the protest were achieved on the first day (Today).
Continuing, the statement read: “Consequently, NEC-in-session resolved as follows: to suspend street action for the second day of the Protest having achieved overwhelming success thus attained the key objectives of the 2-day Protest on the first day,”.
