The Police in Lagos State have re-arrested Afrobeat singer, Ibrahim Owodunni, aka Primeboy.

Primeboy, alongside Ayobami Fisayo aka Spending, was arrested Tuesday morning during his visit to the State Criminal Investigation Department at Panti, Yaba.

According to reports, Primeboy and Spending had been mandated to report to the SCID every week as part of the ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of Mohbad late last year.

Primeboy was reportedly detained during Tuesday’s visit while Spending was released.

The investigation into Mohbad’s death has involved Naira Marley, Darosha, and Primeboy who have been called to witness and testify at different times during the investigation.

Mohbad died on September 12 at the age of 27, in controversial circumstances which later sparked protests by fans calling for police investigation and prosecution of those involved in his death.

Lately, his wife had revealed she will not be alive if she says what she knows about the death of her husband.

Meanwhile Mr. Aloba, Mohbad’s father also revealed his side of the story, pointing accusing fingers to Wunmi, his late son’s wife.

Meanwhile, nothing has been revealed yet by the police, concerning the autopsy conducted on Mohbad’s exhumed body in September 2023.
