This year’s Ojude Oba Festival, which takes place in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State on Tuesday, will witness the presence of Moneymaster Payment Service Bank Limited (MMPSB), a leading payment service bank in Nigeria.
Every year, on the third day of Eid-El-Kabir, many cultural age groups stage a magnificent parade as part of the Ojude Oba celebration, which honors the Awujale of Ijebualand, the Royal Majesty.
Moneymaster started last month, a market activation to get indigenes and residents of Ijebuland to sign up for one of its digital banking platforms, mobile wallet, ahead of the Ojude Oba festival. Customers with Moneymaster wallets can buy airtime, pay utility bills, make transfers, and withdraw money from an agent.
Customers in Ijebuland who open an account during this month-long activation are eligible to win free airtime in addition to several other gifts.
A statement from Moneymaster disclosed that the use of mobile wallets by the many Nigerians can facilitate the shift towards a cashless economy by fostering more convenient saving habits and facilitating easy payment transactions.
Said the bank: “While we rejoice with the people of Ijebuland at this time, we also want to showcase what we have in Moneymaster’s mobile wallet that can help various people to enjoy seamless banking from their phones”.
In order to deepen financial inclusion and financial literacy campaign by the Central Bank of Nigeria’s, Moneymaster Payment Service Bank was granted a license and is insured by the NDIC. Nigerians can open commercial, individual, and savings accounts, mobile wallets, and airtime and utility bill payment accounts with over 4,000 companies through Moneymaster.
Recently, in an effort to offer citizens of Lagos State food items at subsidized rates in the face of growing food costs, the Lagos State government named Moneymaster as a payment partner for the Ounje Eko program in order to ease payment by patrons. Moneymaster is in a position to assist people and companies on their paths to financial success by providing customized financial services that fulfil their goals.
