In a landmark initiative towards participatory governance, Barrister Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe, the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, has successfully completed consultative visits to all 130 Community Development Associations (CDAs) within the local government area. This extensive outreach programme, aimed at gathering first-hand insights from residents, is set to significantly influence the formulation of Kosofe’s 2025 budget.
The comprehensive tour points at Barr Ogunlewe’s commitment to a people-oriented administration, ensuring that the forthcoming budget accurately reflects and addresses the diverse needs of Kosofe’s communities. By engaging directly with grassroots organisations, the local government aims to prioritise projects and initiatives that will have the most meaningful impact on residents’ lives.
This first of its kind consultative approach marks a shift towards more inclusive governance, allowing citizens to play an active role in the decision-making process. As the administration compiles and analyses the findings from these visits, Kosofe residents can anticipate a 2025 budget that is closely aligned with their aspirations and requirements, potentially setting a new standard for local government responsiveness in Lagos State.
