Fatima Dzuma, a 27-year-old housewife from Niger State, has confessed to the police how she allegedly murdered her 25-year-old husband, Baba Aliyu.

According to The Punch, the incident occurred between Christmas and New Year’s in Lafiyagi Dzwafu village, Katcha Local Government Area, amid a heated argument where she revealed her lack of affection for him.

According to Sources, the couple frequently quarreled over their inability to have children, leading to a toxic environment filled with conflict. They argued the night before Aliyu’s death while he was asleep.

Fatima Dzuma explained that after he returned home, he went to bed. She tied a rope around his neck to prevent him from fighting back and struck him with a pestle three times twice on the head and once on the hand taking advantage of his deep sleep.

After the attack, she wrapped his body in a mat, threw it over the fence, and dragged it into the backyard bushes. She then went back to clean up the blood and excrement that had come from his body during the assault.

According to Dzuma, “When he came back, he went to bed. I used a rope to tie his neck, and he could not struggle. I hit him with a pestle three times, twice on his head and once on his hand. I took advantage of his sleeping because he slept very deeply.

“After I killed him, I wrapped him up inside a mat, threw him over the fence and dragged him to the bush in the backyard before coming back to wash the blood and excreta that came out of his body when I killed him.”
