Hon. Taiwo Oyekan And His Team Members While Receiving The Award 

The Management and Editorial Board of ThePride Newspaper has honoured Frontline Chairmanship Aspirant in Lagos Island Local Government, Hon. Taiwo Oyekan with ‘The Outstanding Grassroot Politician Of The Year Award’ at its 2025 Edition of Man Of The Year and Excellence Awards held at the Lagos Oriental Hotels, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria, on Sunday 13 April, 2025.

The Theme of the Award ceremony: “National Development:  The Power Of Good Governance, Quality Leadership And Security Management”

According to the Organiser, the Award is based on Merit.

Fifteen individuals from different sectors of the economy were awarded.

“Over the years, our Editorial Team has conducted comprehensive research on Hon. Oyekan’s Personality and Stewardship. We have critically reviewed his scorecard on  social and economic interventions on Lagos Island Local Government Area”,  the Publisher of ThePride Newspaper, Mr. Joshua Uloko said.

He stated further that Hon. Oyekan is a good Ambassador of the Nigerian Youths. The Publisher highlighted the Chairmanship Aspirant’s unparalleled achievements and
Leadership acumen.

Speaking with journalists shortly after receiving the Award, Hon. Oyekan expressed appreciation to the Management and Editorial Board of ThePride Newspaper. He dedicated the Award to Lagos Island Residents.

He reaffirmed his commitment to serving the constituents and uplifting the vulnerable.

In Hon. Oyekan’s delegation were the Director-General of his Team (Team PTO), Mr. Lateef Ogunfowora, Honourable Councillor representing Ward C2 in Lagos Island Local Government,  Hon. Taofeeq Omoibuowo, Veteran Nollywood actor, Mr. Rilwan Onilegbale and a Lagos-based Real Estate Developer, Mr. Taiwo Ige Yusuf.
