The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Friday announced the release of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results.
Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja, JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, disclosed that over 1.9 million candidates sat for the exam nationwide.
He revealed that 80 individuals are currently being investigated for various forms of examination malpractice, with Anambra State accounting for the highest number of suspects, 14 in total.
Oloyede also disclosed that 467 underage candidates who participated in the exam scored above the minimum cut-off mark, while 50 candidates have been directly linked to cheating.
As a result, the Board is withholding the results of 39,834 candidates pending further investigation.
Earlier data released by JAMB showed that of the 1,955,069 results available, only 12,414 candidates—representing 0.63%—scored above 300 points. Additionally, just 22% of candidates (420,415) scored above 200 out of a possible 400, while the remaining 78% scored below 200.
JAMB advised candidates to check their results by sending the word “RESULT” followed by their registration number via SMS to either 55019 or 66019.
