
The man in this picture in critical condition in a hospital in Akure , Ondo State is the Vice Principal of a secondary school. He became a patient in the hospital following severe beatings he received from four men hired by the mother of one of his students.
The road to the hospital for Mr. Rotifa, the Vice Principal of Complete Child Development Centre Aule, Akure began on May 26, when he seized an Android phone found with an SS3 student during one of the papers in the ongoing Senior Secondary School Examination,SSCE.
He did it to preserve the integrity of the school and examination.
The following day the mother of the student and some four men came to the school to demand the release of the phone and to warn the Vice Principal not to prevent the boy from using the phone during Examination.
Mr Rotifa said that would not be possible and the company of five set upon him and inflicted injuries on the hapless man after beating him blue and black.
Following the furore generated by the incident the Ondo State Police Command stepped in and and have arrested the woman and the four accomplices . The State Government has also condemned the act.

RE: ASSAULT ON SCHOOL OFFICIAL—FIVE SUSPECT IN POLICE CUSTODY
Following the assault on the Vice Principal of Complete Child Development Centre Akure, the Ondo State Police Command has arrested Mrs. Dorcas Asije and four other accomplices.
Acting on the directive of the Commissioner of Police, CP Wilfred Olutokunbo Afolabi, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations) led a tactical team to ensure their swift arrest.
The case has been transferred to SCID and will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigation.
The public is advised to remain law-abiding and report suspicious activity to the nearest police station.
