MC OLUOMO CONFIRMED AS SUBSTANTIVE LAGOS STATE CHAIRMAN OF NURTW.
The current care-taker Chairman of the Lagos State Council of NURTW, popularly known and addressed as MC OLUOMO, has just been confirmed as the substantive NURTW LAGOS STATE COUNCIL Chairman!
This was done today at the Lagos State NURTW secretariat Oko Oba Agege Lagos, and was officiated by the NURTW National President Alhaji Prof Tajudeen Ibikunle Baruwa.
The National President adviced all Union members to cooperate with the state executive and also work in accordance with NURTW constitution because it is the ground norm that guides the operations of the Union.
Also, the National President equally cautioned all branch excos to endeavour to read and understand the NURTW constitution. He stated that an individual can not enjoy more than 2 terms/tenures in office i.e. 8years as stipulated by the Union’s constitution.
The National President of the Union said NURTW is not for thuggery, hooliganism and violence, he stated that anyone caught fighting, violating the law or using weapon to disturb the peace of the host community, such individual will be seriuosly dealt with by Union and handed to the law enforcement agencies.
The new State Chairman Comrade Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya Mc Oluomo however thanked God for making his aspirations come to fulfilment. In his statement said his the most happiest person in this hall today also thanked the Union leaders such as Prof. Alhaji Tajudeen Ibikunle Baruwa, Comrade Kayode Agbeyangi (Deputy Gen. Secretary), other national executives present and all the NURTW members in Lagos State for deeming him fit for the job.
He promised to always give in his best and transform the Union.
Furthermore, MC Oluomo implored all the Union members to be law abiding and always work in unity. He urges them all to carry out their duties with self respect and decorum.
He promised his very best in creating a positive attitude and impression amongst the Union members.
