Wife of Katsina Deputy Accountant General Kidnapped

The wife of Katsina State Deputy Accountant General, Hajiya Lubabatu Sani Lawal BK, has been kidnapped.

It was learnt that about 10 gunmen stormed her residence located within the Government Reserve Area (GRA) at about 9pm of Wednesday and whisked her away.

Sources say her abductors came in two vehicles, beat up some residents and searched the house before locating her.

Reports say the kidnappers are yet to contact the family.

Lubabatu, who is the younger wife of the Deputy Accountant General just returned from Saudi Arabia, where she had gone to perform the lesser Hajj.
Meanwhile, sympathisers have continued to throng the Deputy Accountant General’s residence to condole with him over the incident.

Sani Lawal BK was recently appointed the Deputy Accountant General of the state. He had served as the Head of state treasury before his elevation. The state police command is yet to comment on the matter.
