A young Pastor seeking to grow his church in Ikorodu area of Lagos has been arrested after he conspired with his friend to behead a 7-year-old boy for church growth ritual. The suspect identified as Adedoyin Oyekan and one Eric identified as the friend of the deceased boy’s father were saved from jungle justice yesterday after residents gathered to lynch them. A friend of Eric left his 7-year-old in his care only for him to lure him to Oyekan’s church where he was beheaded, his head buried under the church’s altar between 2am and 4am on Wednesday.

When the boy’s father returned to Eric to pick his son, he was said to have claimed that he had sent the boy home, suspecting fowl play, the father reported the matter at Shagamu Police Station.

After a series of investigations, Eric confessed to the barbaric act and led police to fake Pastor Adedoyin Oyekan’s church where the buried head of the boy
was exhumed from underneath the altar of the church located in Odogunyan area of Ikorodu.

The evil duo were immediately arrested and taken to police station in the area. Police officials have also recovered the headless corpse of the boy from a canal in the area. The case has been transferred to SCID Panti Yaba.
