In a statement by the state Commissioner of Information, Home Affairs and Culture, the governor directed that appropriate administrative and legal measures be taken immediately to investigate and prosecute the matter.
“Consequently, the traditional ruler involved has been suspended indefinitely from his position as ward head of Fannami Ward, Gashu’a pending the outcome of police investigation into the matter.
“A letter to that effect has already been served the ward head by Bade Local Government Council.
“The victim has also been evaluated and treated by medical personnel at General Hospital, Gashu’a,” said the statement.

“The Lawan had serially sodomised the young boy. The Lawan lured the boy as he rode his bicycle to school,” a neighbour, Sale Modu said.
“The boy’s father took him to hospital when he noticed blood and injury around his buttocks. It was at the hospital that the boy opened up
“The boy had earlier concealed the dastardly act from his parents for over a year because the man threatened to kill him if he ever tells anyone”
