Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has approved the appointment of Tpl. Olakunle John Aboyeji as the Acting General Manager of the New Towns Development Authority (NTDA).
A letter signed by the Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Hakeem Muri-Okunola stated that the appointment took effect from 8th January, 2020.
Muri-Okunola noted that the appointment took cognisance of the appointee’s record of selfless service and impressive performance, while expressing confidence that his experience stands him in good stead to expand the frontiers of the Agency.
The newly appointed Acting General Manager of NTDA, Tpl. Olakunle John Aboyeji, joined the Lagos State Civil Service in the year 2000 with the Ministry of Physical Planning and was later deployed to the Lagos State Urban & Regional Planning Board.
He rose through the ranks while serving in different capacities before he joined the Lagos State New Towns Development Authority in 2002, rising to the position of Head of Town Planning Services Department before his present appointment.
Aboyeji bagged his BSc (Hons) in Urban & Regional Planning from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1993 and Masters (MURP) from the University of Ibadan in 1998.
He is a Member of Nigeria Institute of Town Planners (MNITP) and a Registered Town Planner (RTP).
