Foremost Philanthropist and Politician on Lagos Island East Local Council Development Area, Hon. Omobolaji Pitan organised a One-Day Empowerment and Poverty Alleviation Programme for the Residents of the Local Council Area on Saturday 15th February 2020.The Programme was one the Series held earlier across the Council Area.

During his Speech, the Organiser said the Programme would be held every quarter of the year, He also urged the Beneficiaries to make maximal use of the Equipment and other items, impact positively on their Community as that would have multiplier effects on improving their standard of living and economic prosperity.

Dignitaries Present at the Event were Politicians across Political divides, Community Leaders, Alh. Hakeem Giwa, Prince Olaniyi Ojora, Councillor representing Ward G1, Lagos Island East Education Secretary, Hon. Qudus Abari, Market Women and Men Associations, Traders, Artisans and a host of others.

The Beneficiaries were Presented with Work Equipment and Tools, Financial Support Packages and Utilities. Few among the Work Equipment presented were Automated Industrial Sewing Machines, Refrigerator, Pepper Grinding Machine, Clippers and Power Generating Set, Desktop Printing Press Machine, Jumbo Size Cooking Device and Gas Cylinder, Dozens of Instant Noodles Packs and Poultry Produce, Hundreds of Carbonated Drinks and Table Water and Bags of Food Stuffs.

All the beneficiaries thanked Pitan for his kind gesture and unrelenting efforts to lift as many Residents within the Council area and beyond out of hardships.
