Kano State Government has relaxed the lockdown down order from 6am on Thursday to 12am on Friday to enable residents prepare adequately for the forthcoming Ramadan fast.
Speaking while addressing the maiden briefing on the lock own and the coming of the Ramadan fast at the Government House on Wednesday, Deputy Governor
Dr Nasir Gawuna said the relaxation had become necessary to allow residents stockpile foodstuff for Ramadan.\
He said the state also critically looked at the rising number of the COVID-19 to extend the closure of schools until further notice.
He called on residents to cooperate with the State Government in the efforts to tame COVID 19.
