Bloodshed was averted at the Aba Area Command in last week Saturday when a female police inspector was caught by her husband making love with a Police Constable in the couple’s matrimonial bed.
It was learnt that the female inspector simply identified as Magdalene, an indigene of Cross River State, has been having an affair with the said Police Constable.
A source who spoke with OrientDaily , said the Police Constable was coming constantly to met the woman in her husband’s apartment, until his last visit which became the last straw that broke the camel’s back.
The source said that the Constable who serves at the Eastern Ngwa Police Division, under Aba Area Command usual sneaks into Inspector Magdalene’s apartment at nights with her permission to perform the duty of a husband on her.
It was gathered, that the husband hails from Cross River State and is also a Police Inspector like the wife, but does not serve in the same Division, but usually returns home to his wife and kids when not on outside duty.
It was also learnt that whenever the Constable sneaks into the inspector’s apartment at the late night hour to sleep with the woman inspector.
According to the source, the police woman, usually keeps the neighbours awake with moaning sounds that sends message of war-like situation in her apartment.
“That night, the constable came in not knowing that the neighbours have already set a trap that will catch him and the female inspector.
“He went in as usual and they started again with the usual noise the woman makes.
“It was during the peak of their actions that the husband was alerted and he swiftly got there, broke into the apartment and caught them red-handed, with the woman on top of the Constable.
“The couple has two kids and they’ve been married traditionally since, but just did their white wedding last year.
“The husband beat hell out of the constable before he handed him and the woman over to the Police which took them and detained them.
“It took the intervention of neighboours to prevent any form of bloodshed because the situation could have degenerated into something else.”
When contacted, Geoffrey Ogbonna, Police Public Relations Officer, Abia Police Command, confirmed knowledge of the issue, but decided not to give further information on it.
