Nigerians have taken to social media to commend a man named Chidiebere Ogbonna for returning 1.8million found in a box of indomie noodles bought at a store.

It was gathered that Ogbonna who purchased just a carton of noodles, was on his way home when he felt the carton was not the usual weight, tore it open, and saw bundles of money inside the carton. He (Ogbonna) reportedly turned back to return the money.

The store owner was said to have kept the proceeds from sales in a carton of Indomie because of robbers. The carton where he kept the money was what was handed over to Mr Ogbonna.

Many Nigerians who took to social media, commended Ogbonna for his kind gestures and rare nobility, while some others castigated his actions saying he should have escaped with the money.

However, as a reward for his honesty and saving the store owner from debt, the noodles’ seller gifted Ogbonna with free cartons of noodles for the next six months
