In commemoration of the 55th birthday of the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu on Thursday, the Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, Mrs. Yetunde Arobieke, on behalf of the Governor, presented some food items to Treasure of Love Missionaries of Charity in Alapere, Ketu.
The Commissioner, accompanied by the Permanent Secretary and Directors in the Ministry, described the decision of the Governor to celebrate his birthday with special and vulnerable children of Treasure of Love Missionaries of Charity Orphanage Children’s Home as very thoughtful and commendable.
She stated that celebrating with the vulnerable and less privileged children in the society will encourage the children and instil the disposition of kindness in their hearts.
Appreciating the kind gesture of the Governor, the Matron of the Orphanage Home, Sister Mary Lily, expressed her gratitude for the donated items, saying “We thank the Governor of Lagos State for deeming it fit to celebrate his landmark birthday, as well as donating towards the wellbeing of the children of less privileged in the society; this shows that he is a lover of vulnerable people in society”.
She prayed that God will continue to bless, guide and keep him safe in peace to witness and celebrate more years in good health.
The items donated to the orphanage include 6 Bags of 25kg parboiled Long Grain Rice, 50( fifty) Cartons of Indomie Noodles and one (1) big birthday cake.
