Information reaching Citizen NewsNG revealed that a Structurally defective Three Storey building has collapsed at Number 8, Freeman street, Lagos Island in the early hours of today, Saturday 11th July, 2020.

Eyewitness said, the House had shown signs of ‘weakness and Unstability’  in the last two years as efforts to report to relevant Government agencies to seal and demolish the building for  public safety were frustrated by the some occupants and Residents of the community.

As at the time of filing in this report, Some of the occupants have been reported dead while    some  were rescued alive as many were still  trapped in the rubbles.

Officers of the Lagos State Emergency   Management Agency, Fire Service and Neighborhood Corps with the support of the locals are currently carrying out rescue operations.
