Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila has praised the Chairman of House Committee on NDDC, Hon. Olubunmi Tunjj-Ojo for the demonstrated integrity that has led to his exoneration from all false claims of getting contracts from NDDC by Senator Goodwill Akpabio.
Gbajabiamila also extolled the virtues of Tunji-Ojo for opting to recuse himself as Chairman of the NDDC Committee that is investigating allegations of unauthorized payment and financial misappropriation by members of Interim Management Committee (IMC) of Niger Delta Development Commission.
Gbajabiamila said he was very proud of Tunji-Ojo for the fact that no single petition was written against him in all the documents tendered by IMC members and the Niger Delta Affairs Minister . The speaker added that he was even more proud of Tunji-Ojo when the verbal allegation leveled against him was debunked by the supervising minister of NDDC, Godswill Akpabio.
The speaker added that the action taken by Hon. Tunji-Ojo to step aside has also shown that he the House Chairman on NDDC has nothing to hide or fear as regards the alleged award of contracts and misappropriation of fund in NDDC.
