The Aragbiji of Iragbiji, Oba Abdur-rasheed Ayotunde Olabomi, has hailed Osun State Governor Adegboyega Oyetola over ongoing developments in the state.
The monarch, during an exclusive interview with reporters, said the governor had done well in turning the economy of the state around despite the challenges.
Oba Olabomi mentioned rejuvenation and revitalisation of 332 primary health care centres at the political wards in the state, construction of over 20 major roads and many inter and intra-city roads in the inter-lands and reforms in the state mining sector, as some of the achievements of Governor Oyetola.
Other monumental strides of the governor, according to the monarch, were prompt and consistent payment of full salary of workers since assumption of office in the last 18 months, human and capital development of the state, and peace as evidenced in his environmental sustainability programme, among others.
Oba Olabomi said: “If you put anybody in a position, you follow somebody or you canvass for somebody to be your leader, always ensure the person is a man of high integrity, humane and is a person that has genuine interest of people at heart.
”Governor Oyetola has been a community man contributing immensely to human and material resources of Iragbiji land, even before he ventured into politics.
“We have known Oyetola as a consistent person in the area of being good.”
In his reference to the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s description of Oyetola during the last governorship election campaigns in Osun State as ‘a financial engineer’, the monarch also described Oyetola as being a financial guru.
“He has constructed, reactivated, upgraded, reinvented and renovated about 332 primary health care centres across the length and breadth of the state. We have never had it so good.
“Despite the economic challenges confronting the state, Oyetola has kept the state afloat, and so far so good, his performance, in my own assessment, has been superlative,” the monarch said.
