The Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the authorities of the Nigeria Police, families and well wishers of victims of the unfortunate car crash in Akure.

The accident which occurred on Tuesday had claimed two lives, both men of the PMF Base in Akure even as many were injured in the mishap.

“The scene was rather disturbing and quite pitiful as I got there shortly after it happened. It touches more when the victims were officers of the Nigeria Police who died not just in active service but on the line of duty.

“This is an irreplaceable loss, no doubt. Nonetheless, our solace can only be drawn from the eternal comfort that He Giveth and Taketh.

“As a Government, our hearts are with the authorities of the Nigeria Police as well as the immediate families of the departed. This is a shared moment and unfortunately so”, Governor Akeredolu was quoted to have said in a statement signed by the State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Donald Ojogo.
