The Council Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu has been the talk of the town once again, specifically for his relentless efforts in the construction of a network of roads and his monthly welfare package for the elderly people in Somolu.
In his recent tours to the various sites of the on-going projects, the Council Chairman could be seen with his cabinet members during the day and night shifts, accessing the durability of the road materials been used and monitoring the gradual planning in order to ensure standard specification.
This was contained in a press release dated 24th of February, 2021 jointly signed by Wasiu Badaru ‘IjebuChemist Assistant Chief Press Secretary and Owolabi Oseni ‘Ajimomuya’ Chief Press Secretary.
The statement went further to say, that with over 30 roads incompletions, many more near completion, and an affirmation to look inwards to repair more dilapidated areas; the Chairman has convincingly found his way to the heart of the people and earned his way to receive the people’s nod for a loud and enthusiastic approval of diligence.
It was also gathered that the residents of Somolu Local Government Area, who are beneficiaries of the Welfare packaged food items today, took to the streets, raining accolades on the indulgent Chairman over his incessant strives to reach out to his citizens in the best possible way.
It’s no more the latest news that Welfarism has been one of the key areas the Dullar led-administration has strengthened since 2017 and till this very moment, the program has been a continuous process and success.
To that end, Hon. Wale Oseni (Supervisory Councilor for Agric and Social Services), Hon. Mariam Salawu (Chairperson), Hon. (Alh.) Abdul-Kabir Raji (Supervisory Councilor for Work and Infrastructure), Comrade Raheem Afees (Special Adviser on Food Security).
