Renowned Nollywood star, Foluke Daramola has opened up about her personal chàllenges

Speaking on “Behind the Film, African A-List” on Saturday, August 9, 2025, Daramola Salako revealed that she was rap-ed :

I was deflowered by a ràp!st, my tenant actually. It had an èffect on me because most ràpe survivors, I don’t call them victims, I call them survivors. It’s either or two things, two extreme ends. It’s either you become nymph0maniac or you become frìgid. You don’t want to have it at all. I happened to fall, I had to fall to the other side,” she stated.

Daramola Salako said the experience impacted multiple aspects of her life. “So it affected a lot of things, my marital life, everything apart from every other things, abùse and all,” she explained.

She noted that it was only after the end of her first marriage that she began addressing the em0tional aftermath.

“So it was when I came out of my first marriage and I had an interview, because I met a friend, I was dating a friend then that used to tell me that, Foluke, you have a pr0blem. Anytime a male is in the home with you, you’re always agitàted, you’re always not comfortable. He said, I need to see a psychiatrìst,” she recalled.
