Officers of the Lagos State Police Command has arrested a popular Nollywood Actor,  Olanrewaju James with a Stage Name, ‘BABA IJESHA’ for serially defiling an underage Girl in a suburb of the state.

According to a Press statement made available to Citizen NewsNG, the  case of defilement was reported on Monday 19th April, 2021 by one Princess Adekola Adekanya at Sabo Police Station which was later transferred to the Gender Unit of the State CID, Panti, Yaba Lagos for proper investigation.

“Based on preliminary findings, the suspect started sexually assaulting the victim, 14 years, since she was 7 year old. The suspect confessed to the crime and was also captured by a CCTV camera in the house of the complainant”, the statement partly read.

Citizen NewsNG gathered that the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, has ordered a comprehensive investigation into the ugly incidence.

CP Odumosu however vowed that the suspect will be made to face justice if found guilty of the crime.
