The Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Mr. Tokunbo Abiru congratulates the Christian faithfuls in Nigeria and across the world as they celebrate Easter in commemoration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
In a Press Statement made available to Citizen NewsNG/Citizen Magazine, Abiru said “the life and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ remains a key foundation of the Christian faith, and a seal of hope for believers”.

“This solemn commemoration of the Lord Jesus Christ’s death and glorious resurrection should renew our resolve to live in harmony and show tolerance to people of other faith”, the statement partly read.

As the Holy Scripture  instruct us to , ‘ Follow peace with all men…”,

He also enjoined the  Christian brothers and sisters in Lagos East Senatorial District to strengthen the cord of national unity and peaceful coexistence .

Abiru charged his constituents and Nigerians to continue to pray for God’s interventions in the state of affairs of our dear nation.

“The challenges confronting the country are daunting but not insurmountable if we earnestly cry out to God”, Abiru declared.

He however  pray that the blessings of Easter to continually abide with every citizen  this season and beyond.
