Award-winning Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Toyin Abraham-Ajeyemi has reacted to the recent workout video of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu where he clearly stated that he is strong and healthy, dismissing rumours of his death.
The former governor of Lagos State, in a tweet also dismissed claims that he had withdrawn from the 2023 presidential race.
The tweet was accompanied by a video showing him working out on a fitness bike. Bola Ahmed Tinubu wrote:
“Many have said I have died; others claim I have withdrawn from the presidential campaign. Well… Nope.
“This is the reality: I am strong, I am healthy and I am READY to serve Nigerians from Day One.”
Reacting to this, Toyin Abraham who claimed she is not campaigning for Tinubu shared same video on her verified Instagram page and through her caption, insisted that the APC presidential candidate is indeed hale and hearty.
The mother of one urged her followers to give Bola Tinubu, the benefit of doubt, especially concerning his health. Toyin Abraham wrote:
“What else does Tinubu need to do to prove that he is not dying today? I am not campaigning for any candidate, just jumping on trending topic o. I am just a responsible citizen with PVC and power to chose who to vote for.”
It would be recalled that concerns had been raised about Tinubu’s whereabouts after he failed to turn up for the peace accord signed by presidential candidates in the coming 2023 election.
He was, however, represented at the event by his running mate and former governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima.
Giving reasons for the APC flagbearer’s absence, a member of the party’s presidential campaign council, Ayo Oyalowo, stated Tinubu had gone to London to rest.
