Commercial motorcyclists popularly known as Okada riders have resurfaced in one of the areas where they were banned in Lagos State.
Our correspondent observed that the Okada riders were clustered opposite a filling station on Cele Express and also driving against traffic on the route outward the Mile 2 area of Lagos on Thursday.
The Lagos governor, Babajide Sanwo-olu, has banned the operations of Okada in some Local Government Areas of the state and Local Council Development Areas.
The LGAs include Kosofe, Oshodi-Isolo, Somolu, Mushin, Apapa, Ikeja, Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland, Surulere and Eti-Osa and LCDAS are Apapa Iganmu, Ojodu, Onigbongbo, Lagos Island West, Lagos Island East, Yaba, Coker Aguda, Itire-Ikate, Eti-Osa East, Eti-Osa West, Iru Victoria Island, Ikoyi-Obalende, Ikosi-Isheri, Agboyi-Ketu, Isolo, Ejigbo, Bariga and Odi-Olowo.
